Fifteen years ago, Jane accidentally caused a fire at Mount’s house while carrying a lantern, leaving him orphaned. Jane’s mom took him in, and they grew up tight. But then Scar, the real culprit, threw a wrench into their tranquility. Now, fifteen years have passed, and Mount has become a tycoon. Scar, once a debt collector, is now a small-time entrepreneur. Scar had hoped to negotiate a partnership with Mount, but Mount wouldn’t give him the time of day. In order to win Mount’s favor, Scar sought out Jane and used the past fire incident to get her to talk Mount into a deal. When will Mount unravel the tangled web of fate?
