In a bid to win his lover, Alia Layton’s, affection, Ian Yates had his wife donate a kidney. This happened as Ian’s grandfather was fatally harmed by Alia, causing Ian to wrongly blame his wife. Their relationship deteriorated under Ian’s manipulation, leading to his wife being wrongfully accused and suffering a series of tragic events: an alleged abortion, her father’s arrest and her mother’s suicide.
